ALERT: No Agent Appointment for INSTEP Training Enrolment

INSTEP has been made aware of unauthorised individuals or agent falsely using the PETRONAS and INSTEP brand, name and logo in an attempt to enrol learners for certain training programme with an elevated cost on behalf of INSTEP and/or PETRONAS.

INSTEP wishes to alert members of the public that neither PETRONAS nor INSTEP, has authorised ANY agency appointment for enrolment of training programme. Thus, INSTEP appeals to the public and interested learner not to respond to it.

Warning signs of potentially fraudulent activity:

  • ALL of our training programmes are posted on INSTEP website (https://www.instep.my/learning-calendar/). Those who wish to enrol in any INSTEP training programme are advised to visit only this website.
  • Email communication on enrolment in training programme, if any, would be sent by INSTEP’s officials using only e-mail domains of @petronas.com.
  • Money transfers or payments of any kind will be requested from applicants by official PETRONAS personnel using e-mail domains of @petronas.com if the enrolment process payment is required based on Terms of Reference.

Should you experience any of the foregoing, please treat the communication as fraudulent and forward to instep@petronas.com.

Calling for all International Participants (non-Malaysian) to join Malaysia Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) 2022 virtually from wherever you are!

This year, Institut Teknologi Petroleum PETRONAS (INSTEP) is hosting three (3) programmes under Malaysia Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) which are:

1. Best Practices for Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and Maintenance Excellence in Oil & Gas Industry

2. Managing Global Talent in Oil & Gas Industry: Conference & Dialogue

3. Introduction to Petroleum Technology

These programmes will be conducted in Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) mode via Microsoft Teams with high interactivity & delivered by our experienced industrial experts.

  4. All application forms must be duly completed and endorsed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or National Focal/Aid Coordinator Agency in the respective countries and submitted ONLY through the diplomatic channel via the Embassy/High Commission of Malaysia.
  5. Only successful applicants will receive the Official Invitation notification one (1) week from the course date, by the Training Institute via email.
