Malaysia Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) 2022 – Open for Application

Calling for all International Participants (non-Malaysian) to join Malaysia Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) 2022 virtually from wherever you are!

This year, Institut Teknologi Petroleum PETRONAS (INSTEP) is hosting three (3) programmes under Malaysia Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) which are:

1. Best Practices for Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and Maintenance Excellence in Oil & Gas Industry

2. Managing Global Talent in Oil & Gas Industry: Conference & Dialogue

3. Introduction to Petroleum Technology

These programmes will be conducted in Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) mode via Microsoft Teams with high interactivity & delivered by our experienced industrial experts.

The great news is; the programme fees are fully sponsored by the Government of Malaysia, and we have multiple sessions available for you to choose from.

1. Best Practices for Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and Maintenance Excellence in Oil & Gas Industry

  1. Introduction to Health, Safety and Environment: Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment
  2. Overview of Petroleum Industry: Upstream and Downstream
  3. Maintenance Strategies
  4. Maintenance of Equipment in Oil and Gas Industry: Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation
  5. Introduction to INSTEP Upstream Downstream Training Plant (UDTP)

Session date:

  1. Session 1: 09 – 13 May 2022 (Closing date application: 08 April 2022)
  2. Session 2: 18 July – 22 July 2022 (Closing date application: 17 June 2022)

  1. Engagement with Malaysia / PETRONAS Leaders in Human Capital Development
  2. Conference – Managing Global Talent Development in Oil & Gas Industry
  3. Industrial Sharing / Forum – Best Practices of Capability Development In Oil & Gas Industry
  4. Round Table Workshop – Discussion on planning for future capabilities and re-assessment of local capability development framework

Application guidelines:

  1. The course fees are fully sponsored by the Government of Malaysia.
  2. Applications should be made using the prescribed MTCP forms available at https://www.kln.gov.my/documents/8390448/8392184/MTCP+2022+-+APPLICATION+FORM.pdf/31506fe1-acea-44d1-88a2-7b4227e6bd2a
  3. MTCP application forms can also be obtained from the nearest Malaysian Embassy/High Commission in recipient countries.
  4. All application forms must be duly completed and endorsed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or National Focal/Aid Coordinator Agency in the respective countries and submitted ONLY through the diplomatic channel via the Embassy/High Commission of Malaysia.
  5. Only successful applicants will receive the Official Invitation notification one (1) week from the course date, by the Training Institute via email.
