President Visits INSTEP

Datuk Wan Zulkiflee Wan Ariffin, President & Group CEO of PETRONAS, visited INSTEP on 25 May 2016 following his participation at the launching of the Upstream Downstream Training Plant (UDTP) on 27 March 2014. Datuk Wan Zul’s association with INSTEP (ILPP then) goes back to the 1980s when he was a line trainer at the institute.  

Datuk Wan Zul visited some of INSTEP’s advanced learning facilities, namely the UDTP, Pigging Test Loop and Liquid Metering Training Skid which are highly beneficial for both upstream and downstream business.

The President was accompanied by Adif Zulkifli, Senior Vice President Corporate Strategy, M Nazlee Rasol, Idris Ibrahim and M Nasri Jamaluddin from the President’s Office. Wan Hasnan Abdullah, General Manager ECRO, was also present.

During the engagement session with the INSTEP management, Datuk Wan Zul expressed appreciation to INSTEP for having won the Global Getenergy 2016 Award as the Education and Training Provider of the Year on 16 May 2016. Chandramohan Saminathan, CEO of PTTSB, highlighted that for the month of May 2016, INSTEP had also obtained ISO9001:2008 certification and was conferred the IECEx 12th Recognized Training Provider in the world. To culminate these achievements, the President’s inspiring insights to the staff ended the month on a high note for INSTEP.

Datuk Wan Zul officiated a tree-planting ceremony at the Administration building to mark his visit to INSTEP.
