Empowering people capability development, this training progressively strengthen the learners’ competencies via face-to-face learning in the classroom, hands-on training at practical workshops, and On-the-Job Training (OJT) at INSTEP Upstream Downstream Training Plant (UDTP), PETRONAS  Chemical Olefin Glycol Derivative (PCOGD) in Paka and PETRONAS Chemicals Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether (PCMTBE) in Gebeng.

During the one-week experience at UDTP, the learners performed real activities on a live training plant to enhance their competency through experiential learning with various scenarios such as plant start-up, shut-down, and trouble shooting.

The learners positively testified on their wholesome learning experience. Before they set foot at INSTEP, they had zero knowledge on processes and operations of plant facilities, but with a six-week training, they are on par with some of the professionals out there, and ready to give back to the development & well-being of their people in Oman aligned with ORPIC tagline “we serve Oman with pride”.
